I’ve been excited about painting this sunset for some time. I was on a weeks trip in my campervan, travelling right across the north coast from Cape Wrath to Thurso in the middle of winter. The days were short and very icy, but the scenery was spectacular! This sunset was on Hogmanay – and a dram was raised as the sun closed the year in a blaze of glory!
