I painted this view of the Lyth Valley in Cumbria from sketches which I made last September whilst sitting on Scout Scar. On the left you can see Whitbarrow Scar, a favourite place for walking and running, and on the far right The Landale Pikes are just visible in the distance. The weather had recently been really wet and you could still see some of the flooding in the fields.
